The Industrial Maintenance supports daily upkeep and repair of the water plant’s buildings, grounds, and basic equipment. This role helps ensure the facility is clean, safe, and operating smoothly by performing routine maintenance tasks and assisting plant staff as needed.
Perform general maintenance and minor repairs on plant equipment and facilities
Assist with basic upkeep of pumps, valves, and mechanical components (no specialized repairs)
Complete routine tasks such as cleaning, painting, and light carpentry
Support plumbing and electrical work under supervision
Maintain plant grounds, including mowing, trimming, and debris removal
Perform daily inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
Keep tools, supplies, and work areas organized and clean
Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
Follow all plant safety policies and procedures
Required:
High school diploma or GED
Previous maintenance, labor, or facility support experience
Ability to use hand and power tools safely
Basic knowledge of building or mechanical maintenance
Valid driver’s license
Preferred (not required):
Experience in industrial, utility, or water facility settings
Basic plumbing, electrical, or mechanical skills
Reliable and self-motivated
Strong attention to detail
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Good communication and teamwork skills
Safety-first mindset
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Standing, bending, and working in various weather conditions
Work may take place indoors and outdoors
Occasional on-call or weekend work may be required
