About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing water, wastewater, and reclaimed water treatment equipment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of critical treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair treatment plant equipment, including:

  • Pumps (centrifugal, split case, submersible, positive displacement, diaphragm, vertical turbine)

  • Valves, piping, and gearboxes

  • Air systems, gas compressors, gas service turbine generators

  • Grit chambers and chemical systems (sodium hypochlorite, hydrofluorosilicic acid, aqueous ammonia, sodium aluminate, sodium hydroxide/caustic soda)

• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on all equipment.

• Conduct pump and motor alignments, including laser alignment on blowers and motors.

• Perform vibration and ultrasound testing on motors, gearboxes, pumps, and blowers using provided tools.

• Apply advanced preventative maintenance practices, including lubrication and greasing procedures for all listed equipment.

• Ensure safety standards and compliance with industry regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanic in water/wastewater or similar industrial settings.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for pumps, motors, and other mechanical systems.

• Proficiency in using vibration analysis, ultrasound testing, and laser alignment equipment.

• In-depth knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques and best practices.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working in outdoor/industrial environments and around hazardous chemicals (with proper PPE).
