Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Hardeeville, SC. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining facility systems and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance in alignment with PPI’s maintenance program

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production and auxiliary equipment

  • Install, maintain, and upgrade production machinery and facility infrastructure

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns, including those outside standard working hours

  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, and inventory (Maintenance Supervisor support)

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance programs

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and internal policies

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to enhance equipment efficiency and uptime

  • Operate tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Production/Process Manager

  • Provide support across different areas of the manufacturing plant as needed


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred

  • 2–3 years of industrial, manufacturing, or facility maintenance experience preferred

  • Manufacturing experience is a plus

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems

  • Familiarity with PLCs, low voltage systems, HVAC, and automation is a plus

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient with basic computer operations related to maintenance logs and documentation

  • Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating heavy equipment for extended periods

  • Comfortable working in warehouse environments with exposure to noise, machinery, and potentially hazardous materials

  • Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment
