We are seeking a skilled Set Up Technician to prepare, install, adjust, and maintain production equipment during tooling changeovers. In this hands-on role, you will set up machines, run test samples, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with production teams to maximize uptime and product quality.
Tooling Changeovers – Set up and configure machines/equipment per production specs; manage complete product-to-product changeover until sign-off by the Production/Process Manager.
Test Runs & Adjustments – Conduct test runs, make fine-tuning adjustments, and verify proper operation before release to production.
Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve setup-related mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic issues quickly to minimize delays.
Preventive Maintenance – Perform routine PM, inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs on setup tools and associated equipment.
Blueprint & Tool Interpretation – Read/interpret blueprints, mold drawings, and tooling documentation to ensure accurate setups.
Mold & Tool Changes – Swap molds, dies, tooling, and auxiliary components for different production runs.
Continuous Improvement – Monitor machine performance, collaborate with operators, and suggest efficiency improvements.
Documentation – Record setup procedures, adjustments, and issues; communicate promptly with supervisors or maintenance.
Work-Area Management – Keep setup and maintenance areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Other Duties – Assist in other manufacturing areas and perform tasks assigned by the Production/Process Manager.
