Site Safety Coordinator & Documentation Specialist

Description
Provides safety training, record keeping/reporting support, field audits and other miscellaneous tasks to support execution of ATS cooling tower projects involving field construction.
Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Safety Training
o Assist ATS Field Supervisors with ongoing implementation of ATS’s Health and Safety Manual and good practices with onsite labor.
o Provide Onsite employee training as required to support contract requirements.
o Ensure ATS labor employees are up to date on ATS safety requirements.
· Record Keeping/Reporting
o Assist Field Supervisors with daily collection of toolbox safety meeting records, training records and JSA records for all projects.
o Assist Safety Manager in maintaining a current database of all field construction employee training that is mandated by the ATS Health and Safety Manual.
o Update and maintain a database of all field construction drug and alcohol testing.
o Assist Field Supervisor with drafting for submittal to ATS Safety Manager “Employer’s First Report of Injury Forms” for submission to insurance carrier/regulatory agencies and ATS Management.
· Field Audits
o Perform field audits of ongoing projects with frequency as directed by ATS Safety Management.
o Prepare and submit audit reports to ATS Management.
o Daily site walks to identify potential risks and take measures to prevent accidents.
o Provide guidance on emergency preparedness and evacuation plans.
· Documentation for Design & Engineering
o Obtain all required Cooling Tower data and document findings as required on ATS Tower Data sheets including but not limited to:
§ Tower dimensions
§ Mechanical information
§ Basin dimensions
§ Site accessibility
§ 3D imagining & photography
· Miscellaneous
o Locate job specific emergency facilities/contacts for each project and provide the “Emergency Contact Roster” to the superintendent on each project.
o Review customer RFQ’s for safety considerations that will impact job costs and proposals.
o Assist Business Development efforts by completing Safety Qualification sections of client qualification packages.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Working knowledge of OSHA/MSHA and EPA standards regarding industrial construction.
· Knowledge of cooling tower construction and safe working practices.
· Ability to train, influence and motivate field construction workers.
· OSHA Certificate (30 hours) Preferred “Training available to update OSHA qualifications”
· Ability to Travel extensively during outage season
